Reliance Brands has become the retailer of Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tod’s in India under a multi-year franchise agreement.

Entering India in 2008, Tod’s products are sold at mono-brand stores at Emporio in New Delhi, at Palladium in Mumbai, and on multi-brand e-commerce platform Ajio Luxe.

“Reconciling excellent craftsmanship with a hunger to innovate for the new consumers, Tod’s has crafted a unique space for itself on the global luxury front,” said Darshan Mehta, MD at Reliance Brands.

Under the agreement, the management of Tod’s in existing channels across all categories will be taken over by Reliance Brands, covering footwear, handbags, and accessories. The Indian retailer said the focus will be on improving Tod’s potential in the market and strengthening its digital presence.

The franchise agreement followed Reliance Brands’ acquisition of couture house Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla last month.
