US sneaker chain Foot Locker has expanded into the Philippines under a partnership with Indonesian retailer MAP Aktif Adiperkasa.

Foot Locker’s first Philippines store is located inside Manila’s Glorietta shopping mall and is expected to be one of the biggest Foot Locker stores in Asia.

Spanning more than 1400sqm, the store design follows Foot Locker’s signature concept that can be seen in other stores across the world. Interactive experience touchpoints are featured throughout the store, such as an interactive digital screen, gaming zone and baseball booth.

Foot Locker Philippines sells footwear and activewear from brands including Vans, Puma, Adidas, Converse, New Balance, and Nike.

The Philippines has seen growth in sportswear spending, with Nike and Adidas the leading brands. Last month, German sports retailer Puma introduced its first Forever Faster concept store in the country on Ayala Avenue in Makati, close to the new Foot Locker store.
