Starbucks is expanding its presence in Laos with the opening of its second outlet in Vientiane’s View Mall.

The new View Mall store follows the cafe chain’s first location at Parkson Laos, which opened five months ago.

According to Starbucks, the View Mall location is intended to provide customers and partners with an “immersive and visually striking coffee experience”. The design is inspired by the undersea world, with accent colours of light blue and orange that contrast with black textured paint.

The brand says the design offers “a joyful and magical oasis-like atmosphere” that invites consumers and partners to interact over a cup of coffee. The tube ceiling feature extends from the entry to the bar and throughout the store, accentuating the bar as the store’s focal point that highlights coffee and relationships.

Last week, the US coffee company introduced a pick-up service in China called Starbucks Curbside, where customers can order a coffee while driving and be guided to the nearest store to collect it from the curb.
