Denim retailer Levi’s is set to open Asia’s largest brick-and-mortar location in India, as part of its expansion strategy in the region.

The store, located on Brigade Road in Bengaluru’s bustling shopping district, has a retail space of 7521sqm and is designed in the style of its NextGen store model, The Tailor Shop. The store displays a selection of fits for men and women, as well as premium collections and collaborations.

The Indian flagship highlights its most popular range – the 501, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year – and its Trucker jackets.

At the new NextGen store concept, customers are encouraged to express their creativity by personalising their purchases using embroidery, patches, pins, and other embellishments.

“With consumer behaviour shifting in the ever-changing retail landscape, we at Levi’s continue to prioritise how we deliver our iconic products and an impactful brand experience, especially to our growing base of young, savvy consumers in India and across Asia,” said Amisha Jain, MD & SVP, South Asia, Middle East & Africa at Levi Strauss & Co.

“As we look to scale up our investments in Asia, the opening of the Brigade Road store signifies our commitment towards offering quality and innovation in the latest fashion to consumers in both India and the wider Asia region.”

The Bengaluru store marks another step towards the brand’s goal of broadening its business across locations, garment categories, and distribution methods.

Last December, Levi’s unveiled its largest store in Southeast Asia with the opening of a flagship in Singapore’s Ion Orchard shopping complex. The Tailor Shop idea is also featured at this shop.
