French luxury fashion house Courreges has opened its first Asia standalone in Seoul under a distribution agreement with South Korea’s fashion conglomerate Shinsegae International.

Courreges South Korea, spanning more than 70sqm on the third floor of the Shinsegae Gangnam branch, marks the brand’s fifth store in the world and third market after Paris and New York.

The store design is inspired by the brand’s flagship store in Paris, featuring its signature white monochrome atmosphere. The store interior is divided into two distinctive spaces – a calm minimalist style display area and a club-inspired fitting room, in which there are two buttons that can be switched to different modes.

While the Club Mode fills the room with lighting and electronic music, Beauty Mode features large beauty LED rings, creating a more private and intimate space.

Courreges Shinsegae Gangnam branch is the only location in Asia where customers can find the entire FW2023 collection.

“This store opening marks the opening of Courreges in Asia,” said Adrien Da Maia, CEO.

“It will be the beginning of expansion in the market, and it will be a medium through which customers can experience the brand and suggest various directions for Courreges in the future.”
