Spanish fashion house Loewe is set to open its inaugural major exhibition – Crafted World – at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre this spring.

Crafted World celebrates the maison’s rich history, Spanish ancestry, and commitment to handcrafted goods, the brand said.

Saturated with art and culture and curated by Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson, the exhibition will take viewers on Loewe’s evolution from its start as a leather-making collective in Madrid in 1846 to one of the world’s most prestigious luxury fashion houses.

Spanning 1600sqm, Crafted World conveys an interactive journey through time, space, material, and methods of making.

The exhibition will be open to the public for free from March 22 to May 5, after which it will move globally.
