CDG by Comme des Garçons has opened its first standalone store in South Korea under the partnership with Samsung C&T Fashion, following a pop-up in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong last year.
The store, located on the 6th level of Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam branch, offers a comprehensive range of CDG lines launched in line with Comme des Garçons’ 40th anniversary.
In addition to its first store, CDG also opened a store at SSF Shop, a fashion and lifestyle specialty mall operated by Samsung C&T.
“With the recent boom in travel to Japan and the high level of customer involvement in Comme des Garçons, the opening of CDG Line’s first standalone store in Korea is attracting public attention,” said Yoo Hee-Jeong, head of the overseas product team.
“Play, one of our representative lines, together with this, CDG will be highlighted as another line that will increase brand awareness and recall of Comme des Garçons.”
Comme des Garçons opened the Hannam flagship store in 2010, the world’s largest at more than 900sqm, and refurbished it again last year after 2017.
