French American beauty label Laura Mercier is tapping into India’s emerging beauty market with its first store to open in Mumbai’s shopping mall Phoenix Palladium.

The brand was brought into the country through a partnership with local luxury beauty distributor Baccarose Perfumes & Beauty Products, whose portfolio of brands includes Peripera, Shiseido, Clio, and Sisley.

“Our strategic move to bring Laura Mercier to the Indian market underscores our unwavering dedication to offering Indian consumers access to premium, internationally acclaimed beauty products,” said Kadambari Lakhani, director of Baccarose Perfumes & Beauty Products.

The India store will be home to a wide selection of Laura Mercier’s luxury beauty items, ranging from primer, foundation, conceal and camouflage, and translucent loose setting powder.

“The new store represents more than just a retail space,” said Marco Ficarelli, chief revenue officer of Laura Mercier Cosmetics. “It’s a destination where beauty enthusiasts can explore, experiment, and indulge in the art of makeup.”

Established in 1996, Laura Mercier was acquired by Orveon in 2022 and is distributed through specialty, beauty and department stores across the globe.
