Fashion retailer FJ Benjamin has signed an exclusive franchise agreement with South Korea’s The Pond Group – the new owner of Superdry – regarding the distribution of the brand in Singapore and Malaysia.

The three-year agreement will take effect on July 1, the same day The Pond Group becomes the beneficial owner of the Superdry logo and trademarks, with options to renew.

This will allow FJ Benjamin to continue operating its Superdry franchise stores in Singapore and Malaysia. It is not expected to have an impact on the company’s financial performance for the current fiscal year.

The company has also announced the resignation of its CFO and secretary, Foo Say Tain during his probationary period, effective May 31. The firm is seeking a replacement, with former CFO Karen Chong Mee Keng temporarily resuming the role to ensure a smooth transition.

Founded in 1959, FJ Benjamin is headquartered in Singapore and has offices in Australia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. The company imports and distributes fashion brands such as Guess, Banana Republic, La Senza, and Gap.
