Guofu Ye, founder of Miniso Group Holding, plans to increase his stake in the company by at least HK$50 million (US$6.4 million).

Ye will lift his shareholding over the next 12 months, by purchasing shares of the company (including American Depositary Shares (ADSs) and/or ordinary shares listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The transactions will be made in the open market or through private transactions, directly or through entities controlled by him, using his own funds.

He currently holds an approximately 63.7 per cent stake in the company (excluding treasury shares).

“Miniso’s journey and performance over the past several years have fully validated the soundness of the Company’s strategic direction and the outstanding execution capability of our team,” commented Ye.

“I am highly confident in the company’s continued growth and am demonstrating that commitment through concrete action.”

Given that the company has not announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, Ye is subject to trading blackout restrictions and the restrictions on securities transactions by directors.

He will commence his share increase plan following the expiration of the blackout period, which is after the announcement of the company’s first-quarter results, while not having access to any material non-public information.

The specific timing, price and volume of each purchase will be determined in accordance with prevailing market conditions.

Last year, Miniso reported a 26.2 per cent increase in revenue, with store count reaching 8485.
