South Korea’s fried chicken brand BHC Chicken is planning to enter Vietnam, accelerating its expansion across Southeast Asia. 

Parent company, Dining Brands Group, has signed a master franchise agreement with Singapore-based Hao Open Foods to launch the brand in Vietnam, according to local media reports. 

The company plans to open stores in key cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang, targeting 50 locations over the next 10 years. 

Founded in 2004, BHC Chicken is one of South Korea’s leading fried chicken chains with a network of more than 2000 stores, and it already operates internationally through franchise partnerships in markets including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. 

The brand is also reportedly set to launch in the Philippines later this year.
