Department store operator Lane Crawford has launched an online shopping website for mainland China.

The e-commerce site lanecrawford.com is written in English and Mandarin. It features ready-to-wear clothing for women, accessories and shoes. Cosmetics, menswear, lifestyle and home products are to be added soon.

Shoppers residing in Hong Kong and Beijing can receive their orders within the same day while those living on other key cities will receive it the next day.

“We have great ambitions for e-commerce and have a long journey ahead of us, but we have an expert team and a very detailed road map of innovation and development around product offer, site features and customer experience, which is very exciting,” said Lane Crawford president Andrew Keith.

Lane Crawford also plans to expand business operation across China by opening a store in Beijing, Chengdu and the 150,000sqft flagship in Shanghai to be operated in 2013.
