Versace 19.69 makes Indian venture

Italian luxury clothing and accessories brand Versace 19.69 Abbigliamento Sportivo has partnered with Magenta Fashions to tap the Indian retail market.

Versace 19.69 will be directly involved in the styling and marketing of the brand in India while Magenta Fashions will be entirely responsible for manufacturing, retailing and other related functions.

Founded by Allessandro Versace in 2001, Versace 19.69 offers products under various categories that include apparel, footwear, accessories, jewellery, eye wear, cosmetics and home furnishing. The brand has a footprint in more than 200 countries worldwide.

“India is a very important luxury market for us that is growing at a rapid pace. We are here to bridge the luxury and affordability gap for the Indian fashion aficionado,” said Theofanis Papadas, CEO of Versace 19.69.

Magenta Fashions will roll out around 70 stores across India over a period of two years.
