Wingstop to enter Singapore

Wingstop, a QSR chain known for its chicken wings, is to expand to Southeast Asia with Singapore as its launchpad.

Texas-based Wingstop has signed a multi-store development agreement to open its first restaurants in Southeast Asia.

The agreement with Abaavo Group Private Limited will bring 20 Wingstop outlets to Singapore.

“This agreement is a huge milestone for our international development,” said chief development officer Dave Vernon.

“Singapore represents the first country Wingstop will enter in Southeast Asia and will serve as a model as we continue to expand overseas. Singapore is primed for a great chicken wing concept and the team behind Abaavo brings great knowledge of the area, and the operational experience to set us up for success.”

Wingstop has more than 550 restaurants across the US and Mexico.
