British luxury brand Dunhill has named Chinese actor Yang Yang as its new global ambassador.

Yang Yang previously attended the AW20 show in Paris where he first met Dunhill’s creative director, Mark Weston. He was chosen for his quiet sophistication and integrity which “reflect the values and spirit of the House today”.

“I was intrigued to hear about his personal and professional story and impressed by his drive and humility,” said Weston. “His considered approach to his craft resonates with me personally.”

In his new role, Yang Yang will represent the house at GQ China Men of the Year Awards this year, together with other future campaigns in China and globally.

“Dunhill has always fascinated me and I am honoured to be their global brand ambassador,” said Yang. “When I met Mark in Paris at the show, it was clear to me that we hold many shared sensibilities and I am looking forward to continuing our work together.”
