French-Japanese electronic music record label and fashion brand Maison Kitsune has launched Beijing’s first Kitsune boutique and cafe.
Located in the city’s fashion destination, Taikoo-Li Sanlitun, the space spans two stories, housing a series of rooms. The store facade features floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light into the space.
Taking up half of the first floor area, Cafe Kitsune is designed with a long Italian-style counter with its tools covered in fauve leather and a made-to-measure stone and cream fabric sofa, creating what the brand describes as “outfit a chic, convivial venue”.
The cafe offers a selection of specialty drinks and sweet and savoury treats. The Cafe Kitsune collection of tableware, ready-to-wear and accessories is also available to purchase.
A brushed brass ‘moucharabieh’ separates the cafe from the boutique, where customers can find a range of ready-to-wear and accessories, including Maison Kitsune’s SS 2021 Collection. The store’s staircase houses a video wall that plays seasonal campaign films.
