South Korean retail conglomerate Shinsegae International has secured an exclusive agreement with Dolce & Gabbana to distribute its beauty products in South Korea.

The group will start the sales of Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance products before introducing the brand’s full makeup line. Dolce Gabbana will join Shinsegae International’s portfolio of high-end brands, including Diptyque, Byredo, Hourglass and Laura Mercier.

“We will aggressively expand our business through the brand heritage and awareness of Dolce & Gabbana Beauty and our know-how in operating imported brands,” said a spokesperson from Shinsegae International.

“We will continue to actively discover and introduce new brands with high growth potential to expand our cosmetics business.”

Shinsegae International will sell Dolce & Gabbana Beauty’s premium perfume line on its own online platform Sivillage and expand into offline channels, including Chicor and Olive Young. The company will open exclusive stores in major domestic department stores and duty-free shops

Earlier this year, the South Korean fashion retail giant appointed Gucci’s former chief financial officer William Kim as its new CEO.
